Summer (3).png

Summer 2024 is in collaboration with our local school districts and the highly successful Indiana Summer Learning Labs program. An initiative of the Indianapolis-based education nonprofit, The Mind Trust, with partner Lavinia Group, the Indiana Summer Learning Lab includes five weeks of reading and math lessons for K-8 students, teacher planning resources, pre- and post-assessments, and in-person coaching for facilitators.

Funding for the program is made possible through the Expanding What Works grant, a new opportunity designed to increase access to high-quality summer programming for over 3,000 Hoosier students. The grant encourages regional collaboration between community organizations, local nonprofits, municipal partners and/or local school corporations to expand the successful Indy Summer Learning Labs initiative across the state, specifically targeting students with the greatest academic need.

The funding provided to BGCSJC enables us to offer a 5-week summer program at 16 sites across our service area, for 2,500 local students, at no cost to families.

Registration is open for our community sites! If you are interested in signing up for our Summer Learning Labs at a community site, please fill out the form found below.

At this time we are nearing capacity at the Community Sites, if maximum capacity is met you may be added to a waitlist. Children will be pulled off the waitlist when spots open.
