A letter from Our CEO
In reflecting upon the past year, a clear and resounding theme emerges – an unwavering commitment to the betterment of our community's children. Our journey has been defined by purposeful strides, each step a testament to our dedication and the potential we see in the young lives we touch.
In the face of challenges, our devotion to our youth remained steadfast. Our growth from 5 sites in 2020 to 25 Club sites in 2022 is a testament to our conviction. We've evolved, not just in numbers, but in the essence of our programming. The launch of our academic recovery initiative in August 2021 has redefined our Club's purpose. By addressing literacy, math, emotional well-being, and college and workforce readiness, we've widened our impact and enriched our offerings.
Navigating this transformative path came with its share of lessons and hurdles, yet the urgency of our mission compelled us to push through. Today, over 3,000 children experience the positive influence of our Club sites every day. The progress is tangible – 64% of Club kids have advanced by one or more grade levels in literacy, and 69% in math, a testament to the efficacy of our programs. Even more remarkable, 20% have achieved outstanding growth by gaining two or more grade levels in both areas.
As we embrace the opportunities of 2023, the needs of our community's children remind us of the magnitude of our mission. Our 990-student waitlist underscores this fact. Our commitment to investing in our people and curriculum is resolute, and your support makes this possible.
